Veteran India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and wife Geeta Basra on Wednesday have become proud parents of a little angel. The news of a baby birth was confirmed by Bhajji’s mother Avtar Kaur to News daily ‘Dainik Bhaskar’. Geeta delivered the baby girl in the UK at a London hospital. Avtar then asked Harbhajan to come and felicitated the duo with her blessings after the baby was born. Both the mother Geeta and the newborn are absolutely well, according to reports.
Harbhajan and Geeta Basra got tied in a knot last year on October 29 in Jalandhar and the news of the couple expecting baby was hitting the headlines since April. Geeta moved to the UK and even in April is was in Flight from then she posted a picture with a pillow in her lap that hinted the media for all the right reasons.
Earlier in June The Train lead Geeta celebrated had an extravagant baby shower. Harbhajan Singh played the last match for India in the 2016 Asia Cup, where India defeated Bangladesh in the final to boost the name. Singh who has 417 wickets in 104 tests, refused to play a test since August 2015, when he last played against Sri Lanka.
Harbhajan following Suresh Raina is the second cricketer who becomes a father. Of late so many cricketers got married. Geeta Basra whose family lives in the UK made her Bollywood debut with Emraan Hashmi-starrer The Train in 2007. She was last appeared in “Second Hand Husband” before marriage, which also starred Punjabi actor-singer, Gippy Grewal. She hasn’t engaged in any Bollywood project after marriage. We all hope she will make a comeback.
