Himachal Pradesh: 45 IIT Student are stranded due to bad weather

Well, reports are coming that forty-five students are stranded due to bad weather in Himachal Pradesh’s mountainous Lahaul and Spiti district. Sources are saying that these all students are from Roorkee’s Indian Institute of Technology. Also, the reports are coming that the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister said the trekkers are safe and he said that they’ll are be going to take care of things.

Also, the sources are indicating that Rajvir Singh who is the father of one of the students, said that the group had gone for a trek to the Hampta pass and were supposed to return to the popular tourist hub of Manali, but they didn’t return so far. As you all may know that Himachal Pradesh has seen heavy rain and snowfall in many areas. Also, some reports are indicating that at least five people were killed and many have been injured in separate incidents as heavy rain.

You all should know that some big tourist places like Kullu and Manali are heavily affected. Some sources are saying that four people including a girl are died in Kullu, while a man died in Kangra district as heavy rain triggered flash floods and landslides in many parts of the state Monday. Also, you all should have seen the heavy rain in the news because things are really bad for now.

Also, the schools have been directed to remain closed in Kangra, Kullu, and Hamirpur. As the water level in rivers and streams increased following the incessant rain, a man was swept away by the swelling Nahad Khad (rivulet) in Kangra. You all should know that several houses were also swept away in flash floods as the Beas is flowing at a dangerous level. In short, things are pretty messed up in the state right now.
