A piece of sad news is coming right from the city of Vishakhapatnam, Senior priest of Lord Venkateswara temple of Tirumala Tirupati “Dollar Seshadri” has lost his life due to a cardiac arrest. This news has made all his devotees and other close relatives grieve. To be a part of the Karthika Dipotsavan function, he had visited the Visakhapatnam and he had to suffer from a cardiac arrest that ended his life before he could be taken to any nearby hospital. According to the sources, he had chest pain. Instantly, he was being taken to a nearby hospital; however, he could not survive his way to a hospital for treatment.

According to the temple records; he had been identically serving the Srivastava since the year 1978. Eventually; he resigned from the same in the year 2007. As the Tirumala Tirupati temple required the presence of Dollar Seshadri; therefore; he continued his services as OSD in the temple premises even after his retirement from the service of the Srivastava. He was so devoted to his profession that he served his lord until he heaved his last breath.

On the part of a priest in the Tirumala Tirupati temple; he was so respected by the temple authority as well as the thousands of people other than the temple authority that the Tirumala Tirupati temple has announced a public event to perform the funeral rites of Dollar Seshadri. The Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati temple “YV Subba Reddy”, EO “Jawahar Reddy” and Sharda Chairperson “Swarupanandendra Saraswati” have decided to attend the funeral rites of the Swami. Apart from the temple authority, there is an expectation of around 5000 devotees to attend the event.

Who was Dollar Seshadri?
He was an OSD at a Hindu temple “Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams” in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. He had joined the temple authority in the year 1978 in the service of Srivastava. He continued his service for around 3 three decades. Eventually; he retired from his service in the year 2007 as he felt like taking a rest from his services. However; he realized that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams needed him as a result he rejoined the temple authority. Later, he became the OSD in the concerned temple and decided to give his service to his lord as long as it was possible for him. He was a man of his words; therefore, he served his lord until he took his last breath on Monday morning, 29th November 2021. He had a cardiac arrest.
