I May Do Special Appearance In Jolly LLB Sequel Arshad Warsi

Anyone who has watched Subhash Kapoor’s directorial Jolly LLB would notice it hard to overlook Arshad Warsi’s affectionately kind lead appearance. Hence, it was no wonder when makers of the film were taken Mazinger upon comprehending that the much-loved character Jolly has been replaced by Akshay Kumar, in the film’s forthcoming sequence, with Annu Kapoor replacing Boman Irani. “I wish I was doing it but then I have so many other films. I may just do a special appearance…depends on whether I am part of the script. And also I should have time as I would be outside Mumbai for other projects,”

Arshad told PTI, adding that not getting back the role doesn’t give him bitterness.

“It must be difficult for people to think it that how come it doesn’t upset me? It really doesn’t upset me. It upsets me more for Subhash Kapoor as he is producing 1 film at a swing. He must begin the film, he has been waiting for it to begin,” the Ishqiya fame said.

“I never invent anything. It is my filmmaker Subhash Kapoor who designed me as “Jolly LLB”. I just portrayed and put life into it,” he continued.

Warsi, an analyst’ friend, said he was informed that the producer had considered Akshay. “They (producers) kept arguing either it’s Akshay Kumar (or me). I told them to go with him.”

“I think Akshay best fits the bill. He has the ability to look alike a naive person and yet be a man on a bike. He can be a rural or urban guy on screen, he draws off everything. He was the much better choice,” Arshad mentioned.

“It is not the choice of filmmaker Subhash Kapoor, it is the marketing unit of Fox Star Studios that concluded they should take an A-lister star as it assists them in promoting and marketing the film…. As marketing personalities they (producers) have fulfilled their responsibility,” he concluded.
