India’s latest magnum opus project, “Bahubali” is fastest Indian cinema which reach 100-crore club after reaching the blockbuster category, the melodrama astounded everybody. The historical drama set record within just two days after it’s released. The ace director S. S. Rajamouli’s directed the mega budget project “Baahubali – The Beginning” minted close to Rs.140 crore in its first weekend. Its international business is also turning out to be “record-smashing”, say trade gurus.

“It took ‘Baahubali’ just two days to enter the Rs.100 crore clubs worldwide. No other Indian film has achieved this rare feat before. In its opening weekend, it is said to have approximately grossed Rs.140 crore,” trade analyst Trinath told IANS.

The movie “Bahubali” is made up with the budget of Rs.250 crore, “Baahubali – The Beginning”, the first in a two-part war drama, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannah Bhatia, is about two brothers at war for an ancient kingdom.

The trade analyst Trinath, already predicted the future of the film and he already declared that, if the film sustain a week it will creates history. Exactly that is happen. Literally, the film is giving threat to Salman Bhai’s film “Bajrangi Bhaijjan” which is ready to release this weekend.

With the distributor nett share of Rs.42.3 crore on the first day in the country, “Baahubali” surpassed “Happy New Year” (Rs.42 crore), “Dhoom: 3” (Rs.32 crore), “Singam Returns” (Rs.31.8 crore), “Chennai Express” (Rs.31 crore), “Ek Tha Tiger” (Rs.30.3 crore), “Bang Bang” (Rs.28 crore), “Kick” (Rs.26 crore), “PK” (Rs.25 crore) and “Agneepath” (Rs.22 crore).

The Hindi version of the film minted Rs.22.35 crore in the first weekend in India, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh. “#Baahubali is on a RECORD-SMASHING spree in international arena. Puts up MASSIVE numbers. USA, Canada, UK, Australia,” Taran Adarsh further tweeted.

SS Rajamouli’s masterpiece has worked big time at collection centres in Tamil Nadu’s capital city, overpowering Kamal Haasan starrer “Papanasam”. This is a record for a movie, which features Telugu actors in the lead roles doing well in Tamil Nadu. Surprisingly, “Baahubali” managed to overpower a straight Tamil movie like “Papanasam” starring A-list Tamil actor Kamal Haasan. The Kollywood movie earned ₹84.85 lakh from 246 shows in the weekend.

The total business made by “Papanasam” by the end of its second weekend stands at ₹3.15 crore. Nonetheless, the trade figures show that the Tamil movie still enjoys good viewership as the movie has been loved by the family audience.
