India’s Pace Trio Unit Bumrah, Ishant and Shami

This always has been rare that bowling units hit all over the news but now, things are changing and you can see this drastic change with coming era.

On the other hand, over the last 2 seasons, India’s pace bowlers are showing such a dedication and hard work that they are setting up Test wins. Indian Cricket team Captian, Virat Kohli, himself points out that they have been lucky to have such an exceptional pacers who can help India take 20 wickets in a Test and get the job done.

Jasprit Bumrah on day two of the second Test of the two-match series against West Indies took six-wicket at the match and became only the 3rd Indian bowler after Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan to get a hat-trick in Tests. Bumrah with his great bowling technique sent back Darren Bravo, Shamarh Brooks and Roston Chase in sequential deliveries in the 9th over of West Indies’ innings in order to enter his name in the record books.

The trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami is creating history and with every match they are exceptionally performing much better than the previous ones.

With Umesh Yadav as well as Bhuvneshwar Kumar who have been competing for spots in the playing XI, India’s pace battery looks lethal.

You can see the success of India’s pace bowling in the last two years. From the year 2018, there has been no single team who had more than 2 bowlers picking up 50 Test wickets. India right now comprises of three in Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma.

Talking about Jasprit Bumrah, he has been evolved into one of the best all-format bowlers, who has picked total of 62 wickets since he made his first appearance in Test in South Africa in January 2018. He has only played total of 12 Tests along with this he had the average of 19.24.

Mohammed Shami, on the other hand has picked 58 wickets at 25.68 since 2018 and Ishant Shamra 52 at 19.78.

The pace trio took total of 33 wickets along with this each of them has been featured in the top 4 of the bowling charts.

“We have done a lot of hard work. Last year, we played a lot of away matches. Lot of camaraderie is there, we back each other. Even if things are going well, we discuss how to get better. We have a good relationship, all of us. We want to get better every year,” Bumrah said during the Jamaica Test that India won by 257 runs.

Bumrah has also said, “Ishant has played a lot more cricket than all of us. Shami has also played a lot of cricket. I am the new guy and I try and ask them a lot of questions. I get to know what works in different conditions. If the wicket is not doing anything, what should we do. All this communication goes on, including the captain and the vice-captain.”
