The emergence of the expensive Jeeps in India from the big American company like Wrangler Unlimited and Grand Cherokee range raised few eyebrows especially when it comes to the pricing of the Jeep. According to the reports, the basic model of the Jeep of Wrangler Unlimited and Grand Cherokee range starts from Rs 71.59 lakhs which go up to Rs 1.12 crore in the ex-showroom Delhi.Meanwhile, after all, this Parent Indian company of Jeep India is FCA India responded strongly and said that they would come with the brand new range of Jeep with the affordable price which is estimated to be under Rs. 25 lakhs.
The new vehicle of the India company will be named as the Compass vehicle, and it will be launched in the India next year. It is believed that the Compass Jeep SUV will be manufactured at the Fiat’s Ranjangaon facility.
According to the close sources, the upcoming Jeep will be bit traditional which makes its look more rugged as well. The compass Jeep will be in the neck to neck competition with the Hyundai Tucson in the Rs 18 to Rs 25 lakh category. It will be is crisper design, and it will be powered by 2.0-litre Multijet II diesel that makes 170bhp mated to either 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic transmissions.
The compass Jeep will be launched with a 1.4 Multiair petrol motor with an output nearly 140bhp. Also, it will be available with the Selec-terrain that will allow the driver to select the different mode when it comes to driving the vehicle on Mud, Sand or Snow.
Well, the upcoming Compass Jeep Suv looks seriously exciting and with its launching under the price tag of Rs. 25 lakh, it is believed that the numbers of the people will opt to go for it when it will be launched next year.
