Karnataka Techie receives a brick instead of Rs 36000 camera from e-commerce website

A 26 years old IT professional, Ranjeet kumar has ordered a Canon Camera through an e-commerce website Amazon to gift his sister as a Raksha Bandhan gift. The cost of the Canon Camera is Rs. 36,300. He works in Marathali.

Ranjeet Kumar have ordered for the Canon camera through E-commerce site Amazon India on 11th August 2016. Kumar received surprise on 16th August 2016.

When Ranjeet kumar in excitement, opened the pack, he found a brick inside the parcel instead of a Canon Camera. He shocked to see the brick inside the box and after this incident, he complained to the Amazon authorities regarding the Parcel he received. The e-commerce site Amazon added to his misery by not resolving the issue even a week after the incident.

Techie, Ranjeet Kumar said that I had ordered Canon EOS 700D 18MP Digital SLR Camera (Black) for my sister through the e-commerce site Amazon because my sister is doing a course in photography and she needed a camera.

Kumar added that I had thought of gifting it to her on the Raksha Bandhan festival, then I ordered it online on 11 th August on Amazon. On Amazon, I got a deal for Rs 36,300. I received the parcel on 16th August.  I paid the amount through my card and I had a nasty surprise when I opened the package.

Further he added that within no time, I contacted the e-commerce site Amazon, but I had a very bad experience with their customer care support team. The CCS team misbehaved with me during my telephonic conversations with them.

After repeated calls, a representative from Amazon got in touch with Mr. Kumar and assured him that they would look into the matter. The company also wrote a mail in resolving this issue. Mr. Kumar has lodged a complaint at Mahadevpura police station.
