Kerala: Serial killer Jolly who Killed six Family members and Two more Kids :- Since last week, the Jolly serial murder case has been taking over Kerala’s news channels and papers. Debates with police, psychologists, family members, neighbours, everyone seemed to be tuned in to understand the why, how and who of the six alleged murders.
Serial killer Jolly who Killed six Family members
Six persons, all of them closely related and hailing from Koodathyai, 33km from the district headquarters, had died between 2002 and 2016 under similar circumstances. Four of the funerals were held at the cemetery of Lourd Matha Church in Koodathyi and the remaining two at St Mary’s Forane Church, Kodanchery, 10km away. But one thing common, Jolly was proven to be on the scene for all six deaths.
In a shocking update earlier on Monday, media houses reported that Shaju, Jolly’s current husband, confessed to helping her kill his wife and one-year-old daughter. His ex-wife Sily and daughter Alphine are the last two people Jolly allegedly killed.
Now a new twist has come as Jolly Shaju, already accused of killing six members of her family, allegedly planned to kill two more people which this time was shockingly children.
KG Simon, Kozikhode rural SP, who is heading the SIT in the case, revealed that Jolly had plans to kill two children in the family just like she had done before i.e. by feeding them food laced with cyanide.
Reportedly, the Kerala Police also received inputs about some suspicious incidents that occurred in the family and is now probing if Jolly Shaju was involved.
Talking to the media, Simon said, “There was an attempt to kill two more kids in a similar fashion.” Without much-providing details, Simon said, “We have got inputs about some incidents in the family. Though there haven’t been any deaths, the family has doubts.”
Meanwhile, Simon has revealed that the children also showed symptoms similar to those poisoned, seizures and apnea (breathing problems) but they managed to survive.
At the moment the police are withholding the identity of the probable victims but have confirmed that they were close to the Thomas family.
