KTM 390 Adventure Showcased At EICMA 2019 Specification Features Price Images

Much awaited KTM 390 Adventure has finally been unveiled globally at EICMA 2019. The KTM 390 Adventure has been one of the most-awaited motorcycles in the market, with the motorcycle being spotted testing on multiple occasions in Europe as well as India.

Reportedly, the adventure motorcycle was expected to be launched at the 2018 EICMA in Nov last year but disappointed the fans and prospective buyers with no show. Now, as KTM has finally taken the wraps off the 390 Adventure, it is set to go on sale in India soon. The KTM 390 Adventure is an off-road version of the 390 Duke and is expected to launch in India in December, during IBW 2019 (India Bike Week).

KTM 390 Adventure at EICMA is seen with alloy wheels at both ends measuring 19” at the front and 17” at the rear. These are wrapped with dual-purpose rubbers – which will offer equally good traction on road and off the road. It also features a full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth, to access phone calls and audio. This is similar to KTM Duke 390.

It is built on a trellis frame with a bolted sub-frame, similar to that of Duke 390. Gets full LED lighting for head and tail lamps. Turn indicators are LEDs too. It gets a single seat (split seat is offered as an option). There are engine guards, belly cowl and serrated footpegs with removable rubber pads. It also has a wider handlebar as compared to that seen on the 390 Duke.

The suspension will be via an inverted fork in the front and preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Braking will be via disc brakes at the front and rear with dual ABS. Petal discs are on offer as an option. The seat height of KTM 390 Adventure is 858 mm, while it has a fuel tank of 14.5 liters. Kerb wt is 156 kgs. Two colours variants are being offered which are orange and white.

The KTM 390 Adventure will use the same engine which powers the 390 Duke and RC models which include a 373.2cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. It produces 44bbhp at 9000rpm and 37Nm of torque at 7000rpm; mated to the same six-speed transmission. Onboard the 390 Adventure, this engine delivers 44 PS at 9,000 rpm. Torque output is not revealed.

KTM 390 Adventure will be produced at the Bajaj Auto plant in Chakan near Pune. It is for this reason that India will be the first market to receive the 390 Adventure.

Once launched in India, the KTM 390 Adventure will rival the likes of the BMW G 310 GS and the Royal Enfield Himalayan. It will be priced lower than the BMW, in the range of around Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs. 3 lakh, ex-showroom.
