Kupwara 4 terrorists trapped gunbattle underway in Tangdhar sector : A horrific and massive gun battle took place between the security forces and terrorists in Tangdhar area of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir. 3 terrorists were killed by four paratroopers of Indian Army.
The 3 killed terrorists were involved in the attack on 19th August in which 3 BSF personnel were injured. Three weapons and other ammunitions been recovered from them.
4 Para commandos of the Indian army retaliated to the fire by the 3 terrorists, who had been trapped during the encounter.
The entire area has been sealed as attempts are being made to smoke out the terrorists.
The Indian Army neutralized an infiltration bid by killing two militants in Tangdhar sector near the Line of Control in the month of June.
It was the second such infiltration bid neutralized by the security forces along the LoC in Kashmir in three days.
