Recently, the World Cup 2019 was concluded and Dhoni faced a lot of criticism for his “lack of intent”. But still, the fans doesn’t stop to love and support him.
The fans of MS Dhoni are still supporting him and the proof of this was lately seen when Virat Kohli posted a picture with his predecessor that flashed rumour surrounding Dhoni’s retirement to send India into a panic mode.
There were many rumours that MS Dhoni is going to retire after World Cup 2019 but then the rumours were called-off. A senior BCCI official at the time of selecting Indian Squad for West Indies tour said that Dhoni is an Honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the Parachute Regiment of the Territorial Army, “We would like to clarify three things. MS Dhoni is not retiring from cricket right now. He is taking a two month sabbatical to serve his paramilitary regiment which he had committed much earlier. We have now intimated his decision to skipper Virat Kohli and chairman of selectors MSK Prasad,”

An additional proof of his wide fan following was showed in a survey that revealed that MS Dhoni is the second most loved and admired person amongst Indians. The World Cup winning captain is just only behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the list.
As per to YouGov’s most recent yearly survey, that was conducted on more than 42,000 people around the world, MS Dhoni has the second highest admiration score in India.
Dhoni is featured second on the list (men) in India and holds a second position after PM Modi and is higher position than Ratan Tata (8.02%), Barack Obama (7.36%) and Bill Gates (6.96%) as well as Amitabh Bacchan (6.55%).
Another Indian cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar, is the 2nd most admired sportsperson in the nation while on the other hand India captain Virat Kohli secured the 3rd position.
At the same time, talking about the complete list, Bill Gates topped the chart in the male list while Michelle Obama on the other hand won the title at a worldwide level among women.
When it comes to India, Narendra Modi topped the chart in the male list while 6-time boxing world champion Mary Kom on the other hand won the title among women.
The list also comprised of our Bollywood stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, and Salman Khan in the top 20 most admired men in the world.
