Basketball players started mourning when they got to know that famous basketball star Darius Lee shot to dead at a gathering in his hometown of Harlem. The saddest news started grabbing headlines just after it was broke on the internet and all of his fans have started expressing thier griefs towards him. Actually, the news was Houston Baptist University basketball player Darius Lee, 21, died in a shooting at a gathering in his hometown of Harlem, and the headlines has shaken so many people.
The NY police later confirmed that except for him there were 6 others who got injured massively excluding two females as well. As per the officials’ reports it came to know that police got to know about the shooting around 12:40 AM where they got a call following the information about shooting on a footpath along FDR drive and found numerous people wounded. Although, the injured ones have been admitted to the hospital by their own. Among 8 injured Lee was the victim who died after being shot at the scene. Later, the university stated that Lee was one of the students on whom university has proud.

According to the statements of the Houston Baptist University in Texas, he was killed at the scene after being shot massively. He grew up in Harlem, attended St. Raymond High School for Boys in the Bronx and was back home for summer break. Undoubtedly, it is one of the saddest news for all because the boy was all set to be graduated in December. In a statement, Houston Baptist Coach Ron Cottrell said: “We are devastated. Darius was a remarkable young man who loved the Lord, his mom, his family, his teammates, his friends and his entire HBU family.
The men’s team that followed up on the statement said we were shocked and couldn’t really understand the news. My heart breaks for his mother, his sister, his entire family, and our basketball team. The main thing we take comfort in now is knowing where Darius is. he was in the arms of Jesus…and we know that’s true. Plus, we’ll see him again in the near future.
