Morris Garages Motor India has given many efforts to make Hector SUV popular. You know they have hired Benedict for its promotion so it is a big heck of an effort. MG Motor India has released a commercial in which both Benedict Cumberbatch and Hector SUV are featuring. Well, MG Hector will be launched in June 2019.
Company has made no official announcement for the booking of MG Hector SUV but there are many sites online that are claiming the bookings of premium Hector SUV. The launch will be in next month but the booking has started in May. The company started the production of MG Hector on April 29, 2019. The production is going on in company’s Halol facility in Gujarat.
Several reports states that MG Hector SUV is based on Baojun 530. Baojun 530 is sold in China. The reports also state that there will be a little bit changes in Baojun 530 according to the Indian conditions. The SUV is going to have both petrol and diesel engines. It is not officially confirmed by the company but it is expected to have a 1.5-litre petrol engine along with a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The transmission will have options for manual and automatic.
To make the driving comfortable in HG Hector SUV, it will feature with iSMART connectivity technology. Other features that the SUV will carry are an M2M sim, Voice Assist feature and a 10.4-inch head unit.
MG Hector Price in India
The expected price of MG Hector SUV could be between INR 16 Lakh and 20 Lakh. The SUV is going to give a hard competition to Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500 and the recently-launched Tata Harrier. The car is going to be unveiled on May 15, 2019 but the launch date is still not confirmed.
The special features that Hector SUV will have are large tablet-like touchscreen infotainment system that has inbuilt internet connectivity, iSmart mobile application-based AC control, door lock and unlock, and a panoramic sunroof. MG Hector SUV will have 5 seats and will have a semi-digital instrument cluster with a large 7-inch colour display. It is expected that its 7 seat version will later be on sale as soon as the 5 seat version creates its place.
