The another reason of reshuffle of union cabinet is to dropping the non-performing ministers and inducting new faces in place of them.

The names of Navjot Singh Sidhu, Rameshwar Teli from Assam and Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Ajay Tamta from Uttarakhand are also doing the rounds. There is no representation from Uttarakhand in the Cabinet at present.

Among the probable names doing the rounds from politically significant Uttar Pradesh are party MPs Yogi Adityanath, Satyapal Singh and Sadhvi Savitri Bai Phoole.

The post of Minister of State for Sports(independent charge) is fell vacant due to Sarbananda Sonowal’s resignation after his appointment as the chief minister of Assam. After reshuffle of union cabinet may get the Minister of State for Sports(independent charge).

BJP sources said the PM is unlikely to make changes in key ministries. Union Minister of State for Chemical and Fertilizers Nihal Chand could be dropped from the government while Arjun Meghwal, another senior leader from Rajasthan, could be inducted, the sources said.

Other names doing the rounds as possible entrants are Jabalpur MP Rakesh Singh and Mangaldoi (Assam) MP Raman Deka. BJP vice-president Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, who recently became Rajya Sabha member from Maharashtra, is also being considered.

However, senior BJP leaders like Arun Jaitley, Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj and Nitin Gadkari are expected to retain their Cabinet portfolios.

PM Modi, as per reports, is eager to re-organise the ministerial team at the earliest since he wants to execute some pending work.
