More than 12,500 job seekers get opportunities at Delhi government’s 2-day job fair

On Monday, Gopal Rai, who is the Delhi employment minister said that the government is going to fill up unoccupied posts in its divisions as soon as it is authorized to transfer, post and recruit officials inside the system.

The employment department of the Delhi government has organised to install a job fair. The Delhi employment minister said that more than 13,000 youth will be employed at the two day occasion and for this event, there are 76 private companies which are taking part in it. The job fair event was held at the Thyagraj stadium.

Gopal Rai said Rai said at the event said, “There are thousands of posts lying vacant in different departments of the Delhi government, but it is not able to fill them due to lack of powers in service matters”.

In the meantime, it is yet to be decided that the Delhi government or the office of the lieutenant-governor has the authority on the subject of service matters or not. It will be decided by the court, which has earmarked its judgment.

Gopal Rai further added, “If the government gets powers in service matters, the vacancies in various Delhi government departments will be filled up expeditiously”.

It is the great opportunity for the youngster to get the job through an event. The vacancies were also good in numbers which helped in making the unemployed youths to the employed ones. A nation can only get developed when the people of the country get full employment opportunities and through this chance the youngsters who are seeking for the jobs can easily get their desired jobs in less time.

Also, the job seekers can select the vacancies or jobs and the companies according to their qualifications and skills. Then after which the aspirants will be separated and shortlisted by the companies participating in the job fair.

A government official said that there is total number of 13,000 jobs available for grabbing the opportunity at the fair, out of which 11,000 are for freshers. It also consist of 335 reserved posts for women aspirants.

Earlier about 30,000 to 40,000 youths were projected to be present for the job fair. It is the fourth job fair planned by the government and the first one was held in December 2015.

The job fair was organised at the Thyagraj stadium and was started from 11 am on Monday as well as Tuesday. The fair was concluded at 5 pm on both of the days.
