Mukesh Ambani’s eldest son, Akash Ambani’s got engaged with his schoolmate Shloka Mehta which is turned to be an immense and pleasant surprise anyway. If media reports, are to be believed, Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta, the youngest daughter of diamantaire Russell Mehta, is all set to tie the knot on this December.
PTI reports when the two families and close friends come and get together at a plush five-star resort in Goa on the last Saturday for a ‘get-to-know-each-other’ before the formal rendezvous took place between the young couples.
However the two families have been talking to each other for their marriage for quite sometimes, but the final plans were formalized at the Goa event that was set before the Holi celebration.
The marriage is set for the early December, with celebrations broadened and spread across 4-5 days, they said, and perhaps dates and venue of the wedding can be around 8-12 December at the Oberoi, Mumbai.
In Goa, actually, Akash proposed to Shloka on the last Saturday evening. The wedding is probably going to take place in India surely, a source said to PTI.
Apart from the parents Mukesh and Nita Ambani, grandmother Kokilaben will be also part of this high profile wedding. As per the media reports, NDTV, Nita Ambani had confirmed the wedding which is on the cards soon. “I have known Shloka since she was four and we are all delighted to welcome her to our home and our hearts,” she said.
Akash, 25, is the eldest son of the business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and Shloka Mehta is the daughter of Russell Mehta, who heads Rosy Blue Diamonds.
The Ambanis and Mehtas already know each other and Akash and Shloka studied together at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS) in Mumbai.
Akash and twin sister Isha are the eldest of the three children of Mukesh and Nita Ambani. Akash is on the board of Reliance Jio, the famous telecom venture.
As per The Indian Express, Akash has studied at Brown University, an Ivy League university from the United States.
Shloka completed her schooling at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in 2009 and she studied anthropology at Princeton University and completed her masters in law at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
She is also a co-founder of ConnectFor, which matches volunteers with NGOs which are required. She is the youngest of three children of Russell and Mona Mehta.
On Sunday evening, Mukesh, and his wife Nita and other family members arrived with Akash and Shloka to visit the Siddhivinayak temple, to seek blessings from the almighty in Mumbai.
