New Book on Sourav Ganguly Reveleas his Career Controversies

Former Indian caption Shine and pride of India, “King of Kolkata”, carrier book will be out now following Master blaster and so called God of Cricket revealed his carrier Sachin Tendulkar. Book is penned by a digital marketing expert with an IT company, Satptarshi Sarkar – a die-hard fan of the “Prince of Kolkata” – the book “Sourav Ganguly: Cricket, Captaincy and Controversy”. Book will reveals his carrier success-failure, Hard work, achievement and Controversies, captaincy experience in a brief manner.

“It probes the symbiotic relationship between the man and the cricketer. I used to run a website called welovesourav.com where there would be interesting stories about ‘Dada’ (as Ganguly is affectionately called) and the people reading them would tell me to write a book, now I think I have enough material to compile one and so I did,” said Sarkar, hailing from the city where the left-hand batsman grew up playing the game, told New Kerala.

According to India.com, The book deals with many controversies involving the southpaw, highlighted by the infamous fall-out with former India coach Greg Chappell. Among the dignitaries present at Monday’s launch were Ganguly’s childhood coach Ashok Mustafi from Dhukhiram coaching centre, former cricketer turned author Raju Mukherjee and ex-Bengal cricketer Gopal Basu. However, Ganguly was not present due to his busy schedule.

Speaking at the book launch, the author said, “It’s a momentous moment and occasion of my journey with Sourav.” He narrated how he came up with the idea and added, “The journey started in the year 2005 when I was engrossed by the whole Ganguly saga.”

Satyabrata ‘Raju’ Mukherjee, former Bengal cricketer and Ganguly’s school cricket coach said, “The first time I met him (at St. Xavier’s Collegiate School, Kolkata) he had already played for the Bengal u-15.” He regaled the audience with various anecdotes and stories.” Mukherjee also added, “Sourav was a strong minded character, he knew the art of leadership, told India blooms.
