As per the reports, Kia’s pulled the covers off the all-new Kia Ceed before it makes its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The new Ceed might have dropped the old car’s errant apostrophe but it’s gained some sporty styling inspired by Kia’s new Stinger GT. The pinched grille (Kia calls it a tiger nose) between the headlights looks similar to the old car but large intakes and sharp creases make the new model look much more aggressive. Also, if we talk about the brake lights then we can say that they are much narrower and wider than those on the older model. These, combined with the raised number plate, help emphasize the new car’s width making it look lower and sportier than the old car. You get a pared-back dashboard design and sporty new dials alongside a new infotainment display that sits above the dashboard rather than tucked under the air vents.
Also, the new Ceed comes with the option of four new engines. There’s a 1.0-litre petrol with 120hp that’ll be ideal if you live and work in the city and a sportier 1.4-litre petrol model with 140hp. You can also get a pair of 1.6-litre diesel producing 115hp and 136hp that’ll be more suitable if you do lots of long motorway journeys.
