Nintendo Releases Brain Age Series for Switch

The remarkably popular Brain Age games for Nintendo DS that starred Japanese neuroscientist Dr. Ryuta Kawashima as well as featured several simple puzzles that are designed in order to help keep your brain active.

In the meantime, the company has also shared a trailer which will feature people playing the game on the Nintendo Switch with the help of the game’s puzzles in order to keep their brains active, as per to Cnet reports.

Based on Nintendo’s trailer, the new game is going to lean hard on the Switch’s exceptional functionality. For instance, one game sees you use the right Joy-Con’s IR camera in order to scan your hand so that you can purposely lose a game of rock-paper-scissors. Some of the additional focuses on local competitive play with separate controllers.

The Brain Age series is also going to be accessible in Japan on December 27, 2019. It is going to cost around USD 32 for the model together with official stylus as well as USD 25 deprived of the stylus. The standalone stylus costs around USD 8.

Most of the rest of the game seems to be designed to be played with the Switch in vertical alignment alongside an encompassed stylus. You can also set the game in order to send notifications as well as reminders to your system when docked, bustling the controller along with flashing the home button’s LED. However, this doesn’t look like a game that’ll work well with the new Switch Lite.

At the same time, the full title of the game translates to “Nintendo Switch Training for Adults with Brain Training Supervised by Prof. Ryuta Kawashima, Research Institute for Aging Medicine, Tohoku University” as well as it is going to have features such as support for two players along with battle modes. The challenges also seem to be similar to the original game, with mathematics puzzles, memory tests as well as pattern recognition tasks for you to work through.

Furthermore, the new Brain Age for Switch is all set to be released in Japan on December 27th, but in the meantime there’s no word yet on when or whether it is going be released in other countries.
