Assam guns in its continuous open fire against underground outfits have apprehended an NSCN cadre from Niausa village in Longding, Arunachal Pradesh.
The self-styled lance corporal of the outfit “Akha Wangsu”
was arrested from Longjing village during an operation yesterday night, Defence Colonel Chiranjeet Konner said in an interview.
A large pistol with live ammunition and opium were recovered from his possession.
The ultra was trying to terrorise the people by demanding in Longding town, the communique said.
The cadre admitted his allegiance to NSCN and said that he has been an active part of the banned outfit since August 2015.
