The Oak Brook mall robbery has been the biggest issue of the Oak Brook Police. The issue has been full of twists and turns. This has sought the attention of people from all across the world. According to the latest updates related to the Oak Brook mall robbery, the gunfight between the police and the robbers has stuck for a while as per the expectations. There has been four people to be shot in this gunfight including one of the suspects of shooting from the side of the robbers. Apart from a robber, the shootout has caused three innocents to confront this tragedy. Thursday evening, 23rd December 2021, the incident was initiated at the aa mall in Oak Brook.
Statement of police Chief James Kruger
The mishap came to the sight of the local police around 05:45 PM when to of the robbers embarked on shooting. The shooting started near the Ann Taylor store of Oak Brook Center. The police chief “James Kruger” stated that the accused broke into the Nordstrom store with the view to escaping. The police have yet not disclosed the name of the injured suspect. Although Krugar has succumbed to bullets yet he is alive because his injury was not critical. He is in police custody.
Number of casualties
He has explained, the nabbed shooter had four bullet injuries in his thighs and calf. He had to face surgery after the injury in the shootout. He is expected to be in his 30s. Apart from the suspect, three women have been a victim of this tragedy. The 40-year-old woman had a wound on her thighs. A woman, expected to be in her 20s, had a bullet shot in her foot. Another woman, supposed to be around 20, had got broken her ankle while escaping the shootout scene. No sooner did the police rescue them than they were taken to the Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital of Grove.
The police have disclosed that the companion of the arrested suspect has succeeded to flee from the gunfight scene. The police have recovered pistols including a handgun of 9mm. His photos will be released publicly so that the escaped shooter may be caught up by the police as soon as possible. One accused has been arrested. On top of that, it is expected that another suspect also will be behind the bars very soon.
