After the sharp attack on Pakistan from the G20 Summit, Modi said that one nation in South Asia promotes the terrorism, at Tuesday midnight Pakistan Army violated ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir.
Defence spokes person told PTI that they resorted to mortar shelling and firing on Indian posts along the LoC in Poonch sector, J&K.
Defence spokesperson added that Pakistan army resorted to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing on Indian army posts along LoC in Poonch sector of J&K since midnight. He further said that our troops are responding appropriately and no damage or casualties to our troops was reported till the report last came in. The firing was still going on.
The police said that the exchange of fire is going intermittently in Shahpur Kandi area along LoC in Poonch, J&K.
On Friday, Pakistani troops also violated border ceasefire by resorting to small arms firing along the LoC in Akhnoor sector of J&K. On Friday’s attack, there had been no loss of life or injury to anyone on the Indian side of the border, more details of the attack on Tuesday are still awaited.
