Oppo without much hassle and buzz has launched a new smart phone which is a nice blend of glass and metal. We are talking about all new Oppo A31 which is completely made of glass. It will be a budgeted smart phone which will be available at the tag of $160 or approx Rs 10,000. If you are expecting to be a smart phone offering higher end specifications then you may be a little disappointed. The sole USP of this handset will be its eye-luring looks.

Display and software front:
It is a handset having display of 4.5” with the screen resolution of 854X480 pixels. Talking about the display then it is quite out-dated since there are hardly any smart phones left in mid-range market offering 854X480p screen resolution.
It operates on Android 4.4 Kitkat version and by default it is layered by ColorOs. It is powered by Cortex A-53 quad core processor which will be coupled with mere 1GB of internal RAM. The processor will be based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset.
Camera and Storage:
It comes up with 8MP of rear snapper with f/2.2 aperture which will cover wider area and the rear camera will be coupled with 5MP of front camera to click selfies or for video calling. With rear camera, one also gets LED Flash which will help in taking shots even in dim light.
To store all your necessary things like videos, sings, images etc. it bears 8GB of internal memory and external memory which is expandable up to 128GB with the help of MicroSD card slot.
Battery and connectivity:
It is packed with 2000mah battery which will be sufficient enough to keep the gadget working for a day without the need of charging. It accommodates connectivity options like Bluetooth, WiFi, USB, 3G etc. It also supports 4G LTE connectivity.
Price and availability:
For now this handset is only confined to the Chinese market. It will be available at the tag of $160. Clearly with this smart phone Oppo is set to compete against the variants by its opponents in the mid-range market.
Oppo a31 no doubts boasts appealing looks as it is made up of all glass and metal. It flaunts front and rear which is made up of glass panel. No plastics have been used here. It just measures 8mm in thickness which gives it quite a sleek look. But its features don’t appeal much apart from its processor.
Since it is only available in china, Indian customers have to wait a bit. In India there are several manufacturing companies which support 4G LTE connectivity in Mid-range and obviously Oppo don’t wants to lack behind and will soon unveil the handset here in India also.
