The Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGMIER), Chandigarh has announced the release of applications for many faculty posts in a number of departments vide advertisement number PGI/RC/2019/001/0050 on 4th January 2019 to fill 134 vacancies for the available post of assistant professors.
PGIMER Recruitment 2019
The candidates have to download the application form online and have to take out the print of it. The forms have to be filled offline and the hard copy of the application has to be sent to O/o Administrative Officer, Recruitment Cell, PGIMER, Sector-12, Chandigarh. The last date to submit application form will be 6th February 2019 till 4:00 pm.
On the other hand, the last date to download the application form is 29th January 2019. After the last date the link to download application form will be disabled. Whereas, the last date to deposit the application or registration fee is 2nd February 2019.
PGIMER 2019 Exam Pattern:
The PGIMER 2019 examination mode will be Pen and Paper Based that is Offline mode. The duration of examination will be 3 hours (180 minutes) and the medium of examination will be in English. The question type will be Multiple Choice and there will be total number of 250 questions with each question having five alternative responses.
For each correct answer the candidates will be allotted Positive marks and for wrong answers there will be negative marking and there will be no marking for unanswered questions.
PGIMER 2019 syllabus will be based on the MBBS syllabus such as Preclinical, Para-clinical and Clinical Subjects. The candidates who will qualify the exams with qualifying percentage will be displayed on merit list.
PGIMER 2019 Selection Process:
The eligible candidates who have qualified the written examination will be called up for an interview. On the other hand, the same would be impermanent subject to fulfilment of all necessities failing which they will not be permitted to perform for the interview.
PGIMER 2019 Marking Scheme:
The PGIMER 2019 marking will be done through this method- Percentage Score of a candidate= [x/a–y/b]*100

x denotes correct answers marked by the candidate
y denotes incorrect answers marked by the candidate
a denotes correct options in total
b denotes incorrect options in total

Step 1: Firstly, visit the official website, pgimer.edu.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the recruitment tab
Step 3: New page will open and you will find a link ‘offline applications invited’, click on that link.
Step 4: Click on the application form
Step 5: Download the application form and take its print out.
Step 6: Fill the hard copy of the form.
Step 7: Send the hard copy of application to the above mentioned address.
