New Delhi: Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the people of the nation at an indoor stadium here, in a first-ever Town Hall by an Indian prime minister. The event marks two years of MyGov, the government`s citizen engagement platform.
The event will see participation from various stakeholders including Government Organisation, representatives from media, IT, social media industry, Cabinet ministers, senior officers from Ministries and Departments, and citizens who have participated in the MyGov initiatives.
MyGov is the Government of India’s citizen engagement platform. MyGov was launched on 26th July 2014 by the Hon’ble Prime Minister od India Shri Narendra Modi, celebrates the spirit of volunteerism and participative governance. True to the vision of the Prime Minister, The platform MyGov has taken the opinion of technology-assisted Jan Bhagidari in all areas of governance to new heights.
On Saturday, MyGov is organizing a Town Hall on 6th August, 2016. The event will be held at the Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex, New Delhi from 09:30 am onwards today.
The event will feature multiple panel discussions. The first-ever Town Hall to be addressed by Hon’ble Prime Minister himself.
The first session – ‘Do’ will cover Innovation Contests, e-Greetings Contests, Volunteering, Poll, Design Contests and Survey functionalities of MyGov.
The second session – ‘Discuss’ will see government officials from different departments seated alongside prominent MyGov contributors for an interactive discussion for brainstorming ideas and sharing their experiences.
The third session – In this session invite fresh ideas for improving user-experience, engaging a larger user-base and introducing new features.
The fourth session – This session will be cover the Disseminate theme, and will focus on the #TransformingIndia website www.transformingindia.mygov.in, e-Sampark portal and MyGov LIVE Events (Talks) as the primary method of structured government communication with citizens. This session with comprise some prominent senior ministers in the Union Government and media personalities.
The event will culminate with a Town Hall event with the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. It will include launch of new MyGov initiatives and distribution of prizes to winners of MyGov contests – Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat, Governance Quiz, India-Africa Quiz and Duties of a Citizen.
