Senior IAS officer Bhaskar Khulbe is Secretary to the Prime Minister. He gets a monthly salary of Rs 2.01 lakh. It is according to details of the salary as on 1st June, 2016 put on the PMO official website.
National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, Nripendra Mishra who is Principal Secretary to the PM, and P K Mishra who Additional Principal Secretary to Modi get Rs 1,62,500 per month(plus pension) each. These top bureaucrats are retired civil servants.
According to the PMO Website: Six Joint Secretaries in the PMO – Debashree Mukherjee, Anurag Jain, A K Sharma, T V Somanathan, Vinay Mohan Kwatra and Tarun Bajaj get a monthly salary ranging between Rs 1.55 lakh and Rs 1.77 lakh.
Both Private Secretaries Sanjeev Kumar Singla and Rajeev Topno to the PM, get a monthly salary of Rs 1.38 lakh and Rs 1.46 lakh respectively.
According to the PMO Official website: Information Officer Sharat Chander and Public Relations Officer J M Thakkar in the PMO, get a monthly remuneration of Rs 1.26 lakh and Rs 99,000, respectively.
According to the PMO Official website: Five other bureaucrats including the close aide of PM Sanjay R Bhavsar who is working as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the PMO, draws monthly salary of around Rs 1.1 lakh.
Four other OSD officers are Ashutosh Narayan Singh, Hemang Jani, Pratik Doshi and Hiren Joshi.
According to the PMO official website: The details of monthly salary given to the Secretary to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and ManMohan Singh has also made public by the PMO on its official website.
The PMO said that Secretary N C Jhingta to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, gets Rs 1.42 lakh and Secretary G Muralidhar Pillay to former PM Manmohan singh, draws monthly salary of Rs one lakh (plus pension).
