PV Sindhu wins her maiden China Open title becomes second Indian & 3rd non-Chinese shuttler

The Indian new tennis sensation, PV Sindhu made the 2.1 Billion populated when she grabbed the Silver medal at the Rio Olympics. The 23-year-old sensation continues to make us proud as she now grabbed China Open on Sunday. PV Sindhu thrashed Chinese shuttler Sun by 21-11, 17-21, 21-11 in the final of the China Open to claim her maiden major title since her exploits in the 2016 Rio Olympics. This win is quite special in numbers of the way as PV Sindhu is now only the third non-Chinese shuttler and the second Indian to claim this title in the overall history of the China Open.

The match started with Sindhu domination it unlike her match semifinal clash against Sung Ji Hyun of South Korea. Sindhu soon took the lead and went to clinch the win.

Meanwhile, on the other side India’s ace shuttler Saina was kicked out of the tournament in the very firs round against the Porntip Buranaprasertsuk of Thailand. Although, we should not forget that it was only Saina Nehwal who won the title of China Open in 2014.

However, with Saina out of the tournament, the responsibility of the proven the worth was on the shoulder of young PV Sindhu. The 21-year-old responded with the responsibility and won the China Open and made us all proud.
