Both Carribean players (Gayle and Pollard) know each other really well, it was just some fun around (when asked what he thought about the Pollard-Gayle banter). Malinga bowled pretty well, he wanted to prove a point against this strong line-up. Not only Malinga, even Bhajji (Harbhajan) and McClenaghan bowled well.’

Harbhajan: ‘It’s something which I am happy about. Really happy to be playing for MI. I didn’t know that. It is good to be doing something for the team. The first six overs we were on target and didn’t want Gayle to get going. They had some serious players, ABD is batting in a different league, but the start was important. I am glad that we picked early wickets. That is great to know, hopefully we can continue to do that.’
