Xiaomi is all set to launch a new smartphone in its Redmi 8-series phone in India. The Redmi 8A will be launched in India on September 25. Ahead of the launch, the Redmi 8A appears on Flipkart with some of the key specs. The Flipkart listing also suggests that the Redmi 8A will be available on the e-commerce platform after the phone launches in the country. However, the sale date of the Redmi 8A in India is yet to be revealed.

Redmi India announced the launch date of Redmi 8A via a tweet posted by Redmi India on its official handle. Announcing the launch date of the Redmi 8A Xiaomi India Managing Director and Global VP said, “Mi fans, India’s best-selling smartphones, the Redmi A-series, is coming to create waves yet again. This time around, we’ve made it all the more dumdaar. Get ready for #Dumdaar #Redmi8A on 25th September. Guess its dumdaar features! #Xiaomi #DumdaarRedmi8A.”
Meanwhile, the Flipkart listing reveals that the Redmi 8A will come with a waterdrop notch display. Notably, this is for the first time that the Redmi A series phone will come with a notched display. It further reveals that the Redmi 8A will come with a massive battery. If rumour and leaks are to be believed then the phone will pack a massive 5000mAh battery along with fast charging support.
The Flipkart listing further reveals that the Redmi 8A will offer an immersive viewing experience as the bottom bezel of the smartphone will include the Redmi logo and with the Redmi 8A one will be able to click great pictures, especially selfies as the front camera of the Redmi 8A will sit inside the dot drop notch.

As far as the design is concerned the Redmi 8A is said to sport Aura wave grip design i.e. it will sport a premium design and offer a great hand feels to the users out there. Also, the Redmi 8A is said to come with a powerful processor and if it is so then the upcoming Redmi 8A will be able to handle games very well. The smartphone is also likely to run the latest MIUI 10 on top of Android 9 Pie.
On the pricing front, the Redmi 8A is expected to be budget-friendly similar to all the previous Redmi A-series smartphones. The latest Redmi A-series phone from Xiaomi is the Redmi 7A that comes with a price of Rs 5,999 which is expected to drop after the launch of the Redmi 8A.
