#RIP Hanif Mohammad Former Pakistani Test Batsman passes away : Former Pakistani Test Cricketer Hanif Mohammad passes away on 11 August, in Karachi. Hanif was suffering from the lung cancer since 2013, but his condition went critical in last 1 week, so he was admitted to private hospital in Karachi.


Although, his battle with cancer came to an end on Thursday as he took the last breath of this life. Hanif Mohammad was one of the four brothers of his family, who went on to play Test Cricket for Pakistan.

Hanif was debuted at the tender age of 17 and immediate  made his impact and notched up the century in just his 3rd test match. Hanif played cricket between 1952-53 and 1969-70 and went onto to play for Pakistan for 55 Test matches, where he managed to score 3915 runs at an average of 43.98 with 12 centuries to his name.

This legendary batsman smashed mammoth 55 first-class hundred with an average of 52.32. He also holds the world record of longest test inning of 927 minutes, during his inning of 327 against West Indies.

He did not stop there, soon one year later after registering  the world record of longest test inning, he notched up 499 runs in the first class cricket which stood fro a long period of time and in 1994, another legendary batsman Brian Charles went onto to break this record as he smashed 501 not out.

Hanif Mohammad was announced wisdom Cricketer of the year for his solid performance in the year 1968.

The death of his news has taken the whole cricketing fraternity by a storm. The likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Wasim Akram, Sahid Afridi and many more showed their condolence on the death of this legendary batsman.

Meanwhile, Hanif;s death is a great life for the World cricket as he was one of the most cherished batsmen of all time. Hanif Mohammad will be missed, he will be alive in the hearts of millions of fan.
