About Satavahana University
Satavahana University has its backgrounds in the erstwhile Post Graduate Centre of Osmania and Kakatiya Universities and progressed in June 2008. The university was established in the year 2008 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, India vide G.O.Ms.No.89 Higher Education (UE.II) Department, on 25th June 2008. The University was also named after the Satavahana empire that ruled this region.
At the first, the University begin affiliating UG and PG colleges of Karimnagar district in the year 2010. At present there is total number of 191 colleges affiliated to Satavahana University that offers various UG, PG and Professional courses.
Satavahana is the only University which caters to the advanced education that are needed in Karimnagar district of Telangana State.it also offers 22 PG, 3 Professional UG courses as well as combinations in several UG courses (BA, B.Com. and B.Sc.) in its constituent and affiliated colleges.
