Shadab Hussain, son of tailor in Kota becomes ICAI CA 2018 topper

A Twenty-two-year-old Shadab Hussain from Rajasthan’s Kota town has the settled the All-India Rank (AIR) 1 in the ICAI CA examination which was conducted in the month of November last year.

Son of a tailor, Shadab Hussain tops CA exam in first attempt

Shadab Hussain is the son of a tailor and with his result he surprised everybody by topping the ICAI CA final exam. The result of ICAI CA final exam was declared on Wednesday evening.

Shadab Hussain is a resident of Vigyan Nagar locality in Kota, while asking him, he said that he has been working hard to make it in ICAI CA exam. He also took coaching for clearing the exam and he joined classes in the Resonance coaching institute in Kota. He is the topper of ICAI CA examination and has scored 75% marks in the exam.

He said, “I was studying for almost 12-14 hours daily from last six months due to which I was able to clinch the first rank”

While asking him about the success secret, he said that he has been following certain steps on regular basis such as regular tests, revision, clearing your doubts and hard work which was the key to his success.

He further said, “Will power and sacrifices of staying aloof from all kinds of distractions helped me succeed in ICAI CA”.

He also said that he made himself isolated for 6 months where he didn’t want to distract himself from anything whether it’s a family function or TV or social media.

He said, “From the last six months, I was not able to devote time to family and attend family functions and also did not watched TV or used social media”.

While asking his father Mohammad Rafique, he said if somebody is strong-minded then there is nothing in the world that can stop him from accomplishing his goals.

Father of Shadab Hussain who is 52-year-old and did not went to school after Class 5, said “Since I could not get an education in my life so I had decided to educate my son and I am proud that he has clinched success in CA final”.

His father replied when he was asked that how he supported his son’s education, he said, “I earn enough to run my family and educate my kids and it is for the almighty god to look after everyone”.

Other than his father, Hussain has a mother named Alima Ansari who is a housewife and he also has four sisters.

In November 2015, Hussain acquired the AIR-24 in CA-IPCC or Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Course.

RK Verma, the managing director of Resonance coaching institute, said that since the last four years Hussain has been a student at his institute.
