Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) 2018: PM Modi claimed India as a desired Destination for Investment

FinTech is the world’s largest financial technology festival. On Wednesday, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi addressed Singapore’s FinTech 2018. He said that Fintech festival is a celebration of belief in the spirit of innovation and power of technology.

To address the FinTech Festival, Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is the first Head of Government was introduced  as a significant speaker.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi at FinTech Festival said that for 1.3 billion Indians, the financial enclosure has turn into a reality, as he claimed India as a desired destination for investment.

PM Modi said at FinTech Festival event “Financial inclusion has become reality for 1.3 billion Indians. We have generated more than 1.2 billion biometric identities- Aadhaar or foundation- in just a few years”.

On twitter he also tweet “i say this to all the fintech companies and startups – India is your best destination: PM” and “FinTech can be used to make the world a better place: PM”

The Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) is known as the world’s largest occasion on financial technology. In previous year that is on 2017, there were almost 30,000 participants from over 100 countries who participated in the FinTech Festival event last year.

The Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) comprises of a three-day conference or session, display and demonstrates of FinTech organizations and their skills & abilities. Singapore FinTech Festival is a platform which provides the global competition for entrepreneurs and investment capital.

PM Modi also said at the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) event that under his supervision, his government has launched Jan Dhan Yojana through Aadhaar and cell phones, where they opened 330 million new bank accounts in just three years.

PM Modi said at the event by quoting “These are 330 million sources of identity, dignity and opportunities. Less than 50 per cent of Indian had bank accounts in 2014. Now, it is nearly universal. So today, more than a billion biometric identities, more than a billion bank accounts and more than a billion cell phones give India by far the biggest public infrastructure in the world”

He then also further said “We are in an age of a historic transition brought about by technology. From desktop to cloud, from Internet to social media, from IT Services to Internet of Things, we have come a long way in short time”.

The Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) 2018 is going to be held between 12th November 2018 to 16th November 2018, and the conference is going to take place from 12th November 2018 to 14th November 2018.

There will be over 30,000 participants from over hundred countries in FinTech festival 2018. Out of all the participants there will be 230 leading experts from public policy, finance and technology over 70 sessions. Furthermore, there will be about 400 exhibitors from almost 40 countries around the world.  And about sixteen countries are setting up their country pavilions.

India Pavilion is going to be the maximum number of companies with 18 participants amongst the 16 countries pavilions in the Exhibition event. There will be another 16 Indian participants who are going to be located in thematic segments concerning to their areas of interest.
