South Africa vs India: Injured Wriddhiman Saha out, Dinesh Karthik Roped in for Coming 3rd Test

Well, Indian vs. South Africa 3rd test is going to start soon and Indian wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha wasn’t feeling good and he is injured which is why they replaced him with Dinesh Karthik in the squad. As per the reports, Saha, who is not part of the team playing the ongoing second Test here, picked up the injury while training on January 11. As you all may know that the 3rd test of the series is scheduled to be held in Johannesburg from January 24.

Overall, this isn’t going to hurt much Indian team because the performance “The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Dinesh Karthik as the replacement for Wriddhiman Saha for the third and final Test against South Africa. He is set to join the team before the third Test,” the BCCI Acting Secretary Amitabh Choudhary said in a statement. As you all may know that 32-year-old Karthik has played 23 Tests for India but his last five-day appearance for the team was back in 2010 against Bangladesh which is why we are doubt about his performance. Also, we think that Karthik could change the game from now because we all know that he is a very interesting player. “Mr. Wriddhiman Saha suffered an upper left hamstring tendon injury during training on Thursday, January 11. The BCCI Medical Team will continue to monitor his progress,” Choudhary said. ICC U-19 Wolrd Cup 2018 Schedule

As you all may know that Saha was also a replacement by Parthiv Patel in the ongoing Test here after he picked up the injury, which was initially described as a niggle. He wasn’t much of a success in the opening Test in Cape Town, returning scores of 0 and 8. But the 33-year-old broke Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s record for most dismissals by an Indian wicketkeeper in a Test match.
