The ICC World Cup is going to start from 30 May 2019 where several international cricket teams are going to face-off each other till 14 July 2019.  The fixture of the matches has been declared and every team is up with their squads to eliminate other teams. Sri Lanka has also declared its squad on April 18, 2019. The coach of the team is Chandika Hathurusingha. The declared squad is a 15-man squad including Dimuth Karunaratne as the captain of the team. Sri Lanka has played in World Cup many times and is considered as one of the strongest teams and it has reached the finals thrice in its lifetime. Sri Lanka has won the ICC World Cup trophy once in its career. Sri Lanka has won the WC 1996 in which the Sri Lankan team defeated Australia by 7 wicket. In 2007 and 2011, Sri Lanka reached the final but unfortunately was defeated by Australia and India respectively. This year, Sri Lanka has refined its all-rounders that can help Sri Lanka achieve both good bowling and batting line-up.
