Poonam Azad who is the wife of suspended whistle-blower BJP MP Kirti Azad, is going to join Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) on 13th November 2016. Sanjay Singh, a Senior AAP spokesperson, has confirmed the report.
Kirti Azad said that she is an independent woman and can make her own choices. I have no right to comment on the decision of her since I am a suspended MP. Whatever she decides will be in the interest of the nation.
Earlier, Poonam Azam has been a Delhi BJP Spokesperson and was its vice president.
As per the reports that Mrs. Azad has been facing some difficulties in the saffron party for some years.
The main reason of this type of decision of Poonam is the suspension of Kirti Azad from the BJP Party. Earlier, Kirti Azad had launched a bitter attack on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over the alleged corruption in DDCA during the tenure of Jaitley as its head.
Kirti Azad had also released an explosive CD in which had shown him telling Finance Minister Arun Jaitley how he had forged documents.
As per the sources that Now, the couple are unsure about their future in the BJP party.
The Information and Broadcasting ministry, then headed by Jaitley, had allegedely removed the name of Poonam from the advisory panel of the censor board in the month of December last year.
I&B Ministry had sent the final list of 108 people in which the name of Poonam did not mention. As per the reports that Poonam Azad was approached by the I&B ministry in the month of November to join the panel.
