Tanu Weds Manu Returns is getting some danger from Piku, as the Deepika and Sr. Bachchan starrer is still attracting audiences. However, Madhavan-Kangna starrer film has got a fabulous start at the box office globally and is still going strong.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns beat the opening day record and collection of the films. Like Bombay Velvet, Ek Paheli Leela, Detective Byomkeush Bakshi, Mr. X and NH10. Tanu Weds Manu Returns Friday collection is Rs. 8.75 crore. Trade analysts are saying that the business will multiply in its coming days.

Taran Adarsh says about its collection, “the movie has made a total collection of Rs. 8.75 crore, which is a higher opening day domestic collection of Deepika starrer Piku. Piku had minted Rs. 5.5 crore from domestic box office.
Despite IPL matches, the film witnessed better occupancy during evening show than morning ones in its opening day. It seems like word of mouth publicity works this time. Anand L Rai is ready to taste success third time with his third film.
