Maruti Suzuki Alto
The new facelifted version of the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 has broken all the records of sales in the Indian market. This 800cc variant of the Maruti Alto has been threatened by the likes of Renault Kwid but is better in terms of price, looks, and features.
The new Alto 800 looks similar from side to that of the earlier version, but the looks have changed from the front, with wider head and tail lamps, wider split grille, slimmer top grill, and fog lamps.
The new Alto 800 is powered by a 796cc 3-cylinder petrol mill engine, with thepower of around 47.3bhp, at 6000rmp, and torque power of 69Nms. The new Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 is available for an affordable price, from INR 2.75 to 4 Lakhs.
Renault Kwid has got everything required to attract the passersby with its chunky SUV kind of look, adopted from the Renault Duster, with an attractive price tag and fuel-efficient petrol engine. The reason Kwid has got the second place in this list is that of its efficient 1.0-liter engine, with thepower of 67bhp, and torque power of 91Nm; which can provide around 26Km/ litre mileage. Kwid also has a 5-speed manual transmission and AMT route variants.
The new Renault Kwid is available at prices from INR 3 to 4.25 Lakhs.
Datsun Redi-Go is another great car under the price range of INR 2.75-4 Lakhs, with some great looks and agood engine. Although Redi-Go is not at par with the features and capabilities of Alto 800 and Kwid, still it can be considered a good car in the minimum price range section. Redi-Go looks good with its hexagonal grille, short bonnet, and big headlamps that give it a signature looks of the Datsun car company.
If you are looking for an efficient car, then Redi-Go might be your desirable choice, with a mileage of around 25 Km/ litre. It comes with a799cc engine, with a power of around 53bhp, torque power of 72Nm, at 4386rpm.
Tata Tiago is a mid-sized hatchback version, having the signature looks of Tata with a clean sheet design, traditional Tata smiling grille, with large headlamps, and great bonnet design that makes it a good looking small car.
