The Congress party’s vice president Rahul Gandhi is set to visit the Una, Gujarat on Thursday.
A television footage showed Rahul Gandhi sleeping with its forehead resting on palm when the congress erupted the protest over the remarks of Rajnath Singh.
Congress Party’s Lok Sabha chief Mallikarjun Kharge and his fellow MPs were shouting their objections but Rahul Gandhi seemed to sleep on.
Earlier in the day, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi asked the party members to raise the Una issue in the Parliament. However, this is not the first time that cameras have caught Rahul Gandhi sleeping during debate in Parliament.
On Tuesday, Congress unit of Gujarat met Governor of Gujarat OP Kohli over the Gujarat Dalit Protest and seek a judicial probe in the Una incident.
However, some congress party members gave a clarification over Rahul’s nap in the Parliament.
Congress leader Renuka Chaudary gave her clarification and said that Rahul Gandhi was just resting his eyes. He was not sleeping.
