Jon Jones (c) vs Thiago Santos

A UFC Light Heavyweight Championship battle between current two-time champion Jon Jones and Thiago Santos was one of the event headliner where Jon Jones defeated Thiago Santos. Well, it was the very close bout between both of them, however, sometimes it seems to be like Santos was more dangerous as compared to Jones. Two of the judges out of three scored the fight for Jones and one for Santos with all three scoring the bout 48-47.

Women’s Bantamweight

Amanda Nunes (c) vs Holly Holm

Amanda Nunes who is considered to be the greatest female fighter in the history, and with the yesterday’s UFC Women’s Bantamweight and Featherweight Champion, she had put an exclamation point on that statement. A nasty head kick and punches sent Holm back and Nunes became the champion.

Women’s Bantamweight

Julia Avila vs Pannie Kianzad

Former Invicta standout Julia Avila surpassed her record to 6-1 with a clear unanimous-decision win against Pannie Kianzad. She was way too strong in the clinch that the holes in her striking defense didn’t much affected and her shots were very powerful than her opponent.

Bantamweight

Marlon Vera vs Nohelin Hernandez

After a very strong first round, Vera found himself in a hard situation in the second round. Hernandez’s striking as well as a surprise takedown had him in control in the second round, but Vera got to his feet. Within 3: 25 second, Vera locked in the rear-naked choke in the second round in order to get a quick submission.

Jorge Masvidal vs Ben Askren

Well, this bout didn’t take long, in fact Jorge Masvidal just put Ben Askren to sleep for the fastest KO in the UFC History. In the first two seconds as the fight was just began, Masvidal ran at his rival and launched a flying knee that landed square on the side of Askren’s head.
