India has been the Mecca of Cricket over last few years , and one name that had dominated the globe and across the world is “Sachin Tendulkar”.Sachin Tendulkar has been an Ultimate Global Superstar and scoring tons of runs in all the format of game of Cricket. He holds many records like he is the highest run getter in both ODI cricket and Test Match cricket.
He has scored 100 international centuries, which is unacheivable. Sachin Tendulkar and controversy do not have any connection during his playing days.
But this batting Legend has been in a bit of Controversy after his son Arjun Tendulkar named in the U 16 west zone squad for inter zonal tournament. You must be thinking that what is the matter of controversy here .
The issue here is that a boy named “Pranav Dhanawade” who scored 1009 runs off just 323 balls is not reccomended for the selection for U 16 West zone Squad.
Pranav became the first batsman to score a 1000 run in history. Pranav Dhanwade is a son of Auto rickshaw driver in Maharashtra.
Controversy catch fire when , Pranav was ignored for the process of selection for U 16 West Zone squad despite of his solid performances.
Meanwhile , Arjun tendulkar who is a decent Allrounder has a poor amount of runs and poor bowling performance behind his name. Despite his poor performance he is selected in U 19 West zone squad.
This raises a question over selection process in India. Allegations were also made that Arjun is selected because of the name of Sachin Tendulkar.
This controversy raises an important question;Is there is no rome for talent in BCCI ? Does Arjun selection is mainly because of the reputation of Sachin’s name ?
Also in year 2014 , many parents of different individual players had complained that Arjun always used to get higher prefrence for selection process over their children.
Although , When Pranav had scored his historic 1009 , Sachin was amongst them who wished pranav and appreciated him .
Pranav was highly appreciated by the whole Cricketing Fraternity for his majestic 1009.
Cricketers like M S Dhoni, Ajinkya Rahane , Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli , Andrew Flintoff , Mark waugh and other also had appreciated the talent of this boy.
Sachin and Arjun have not responded to this controversy yet, neither there is any official statement released by the selection Committe regarding this controversial selection.
Well we can only wait and see what will be the future of Pranav Dhanawade. Will he be able to kick his cricketing carrer further or will his talent will be given priority in future , especially after this controversial selection.
