UPSC CSE Main 2019: Online Application Form, Registration, Last Date & How to Apply: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited the candidates to apply for the Civil Services (Mains) exam 2019 for which the online application has already been released on its official websites at upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in.

The candidates who have already cleared the UPSC CSE 2019 prelims result can now apply for the UPSC CSE Main 2019, the last date for which is August 16. According to the official notification, candidates are going to get a total of six attempts at UPSC CSE, out of which the attempt at prelims is also going to be counted.
UPSC CSE Main Exam 2019 Selection Steps and Exam pattern
There are going to be two steps in clearing the UPSC CSE Main Exam 2019 and those are Written examination and Interview round.
The written examination will comprises of total of 9 papers of conventional essay type in the subjects set out of which two papers are going to be of qualifying in nature. Candidates are to be given the final rank based on the marks attained in the main examination which will include written part as well as interview. Those who will qualify mains are going to be shortlisted for the interview round.
All the candidates who are opting for Indian Language medium for the written test of the Civil Services (Main) examination, must also select either the same Indian Language or English or Hindi as the medium for the interview as well. The interview is going to carry 275 marks with no minimum qualifying marks.
The UPSC Main examination is going to be held in total of 24 centres all over the the nation such as Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Dehradun, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Bengaluru, Kolkata, Lucknow, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Mumbai, Patna, Raipur, Shimla, Ranchi, Shillong, Vijayawada and Thiruvananthapuram.
UPSC CSE Main application form 2019: Steps to apply
In order to apply for UPSC CSE Main application form 2019, candidates have to follow these simple steps which are as follows:
Step 1: At first, candidates have to go on the official website at upsc.gov.in
Step 2: On the home page, click on the online application
Step 3: A new page will open
Step 4: Now, you have to click on ‘UPSC CSE Main’ notification
Step 5: Fill form I and form II with all the asked details correctly.
Step 6: At last, make your payment.
The candidate must also be at least 21 years of age and not more than 32 years of age. There will also be a relaxation of five years for reserved categories such as SC and ST candidates, while OBC, PwD, army wards and retired army personnel candidates.
