USA : 5 Police officer were shot dead in recent Dallas attacks

The snipers who targeted them during rallies in Dallas shot four police officers and injured many of them. The people were protesting against the fatal police shooting of two black men this week. This is one of the worst shootings in recent history of US.

David Brown who is a Dallas Police Chief told a news conference that two snipers in elevated positions shot 11 police officers and killed three officers. This incident appeared to be a planned and coordinated attack. The snipers shot some of the officers in the back.

The police officer said on Twitter that A fourth officer died later. At least one more officer was in surgery. Police of Dallas said they arrested one suspect who had engaged in a shootout. The police also added that a bomb squad unit was investigating a suspicious package which was found near the suspect’s location.

The police had not spoken a word on the arrest of the second sniper yet. Dallas Police Chief David Brown also said we had not uncovered the motive for the shooting on the cops yet.

The Mayor of Texas Mike Rawlings told a news conference that it was our worst nightmare that has happened.  He also said that it breaks my heart when I heard about police officers who lost their life by serving our citizens.

Police said that the three persons were arrested, two from inside the Mercedes and another woman under arrest near a garage of downtown.Separately, police said they were questioning occupants of a Mercedes they had pulled over after the vehicle sped off down a downtown street with a man who threw a camouflaged bag inside the back of the car.

The US Federal Aviation Administration issued a temporary flight restriction over the city Dallas after the shooting incident occured. Social networking site Facebook also activated safety checks for its users.

On Wednesday, the police near St Paul, Minnesota shot Philando castile, 32 who is a black citizens of USA. The Girlfriend of Philando Castile posted live video of the shooting on the Internet which was widely viewed.
