Veteran actor Suresh Chatwal passes away due to prolonged illness

Veteran Actor Suresh Chatwal known for his TV shows like FIR and the famous role of Commissioner Suraj Agnihotri in F.I.R, Another role which was appreciated was Dhukhiya of Doordarshan’s Nukkad. , passed away yesterday due to prolonged illness. The actor died on Saturday in Mumbai. He was cremated on Sunday.

The cremation will be carried out today, 29th May’ 16, from 3.30pm onwards. Other rituals will be held on Tuesday, 31st May 2016, between 5 to 5.30pm at 4 Bunglows Gurudwara, Andheri West.

Chatwal made his acting debut in the year 1969 with “Rakhi Rakhi”. The Sayeed Mirza-Kundan Shah-directed show, which ran for two seasons, starting in 1986, was one of TV’s most-loved TV series. He also was seen in Bollywood films like Karan Arjun, Munnabhai, Koyla and many more.

“With great grief, I inform you that my father, Suresh Chatwal is no more between us. He left for heavenly aboard yesterday succumbing to his ongoing illness,”, his son Yaman Chatwal said in a statement..
