With Walker out, it seems that the producers are looking at previous Fast and Furious characters to reprise. Mendes is one so it remains to be seen who else could be inserted to pick up the slack left by Walker who died in a horrific car crash in 2013. Though there is no report on who would take his place, one character that comes to mind is Lucas Black who played Sean Boswell in The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift. One would think that he could be a logical choice considering he has ties with Han and of course Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel).

“Paul used to say that 8 was guaranteed and, in some ways, when your brother guarantees something, you have to make sure it comes to pass,” Diesel revealed at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night. “So, if fate has it — fate, F8 — then you’ll get it. Furious 7 was for Paul; 8 is from Paul.”
Now, that’s what we call a family bond. But it’s not just Diesel who’s hoping to get behind the wheel one more time. Dwayne Johnson, who plays the wise cracking, tough-as-nails Agent Hobbs, is also interested in making yet another installment. However, you can’t just expect The Rock to sign on to just any old sequel.
