Expanding its V-series phones in India, China’s leading smartphone making company Vivo is all set to launch a new V-series smartphone i.e. Vivo V17 in India today on December 9 at 12 PM. The handset will be launched at an event in New Delhi

Vivo has revealed some of the key features of the upcoming Vivo V17. These include 4,500mAh battery, 48MP quad rear camera and a 32MP front camera with “Super night mode” available in both cameras.
Vivo teased the V17 last week on its Twitter page with a caption reading “Can you hear the buzz! The #ClearAsReal 32MP Front Camera on #vivoV17 is here to create some flutter. Launching on 9th December, 12 PM.” From the photos shared by Vivo, it can be expected that the upcoming Vivo V17 will have a nearly bezel-less display with a punch-hole cut at the top right corner of the phone.

As stated above, the company has scheduled an event in New Delhi on December 9 at 12pm. The launch event will be broadcasted live on Vivo India’s social media platforms.
When launched in Russia, Vivo V17 featured a 6.38-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 X 2340 pixels. It had a waterdrop notch and it sport an in-display fingerprint scanner. Vivo V17 is also expected to feature a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass on top for protection. It was equipped with a 4,500 mA battery and powered by Snapdragon 665 chipset. It offered 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage, expandable up to 256 GB via microSD card.
In terms of camera, the smartphone came with a diamond-shaped camera module at the back that houses four cameras. The rear camera setup included a 48 MP primary sensor, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2 MP macro lens and 2 MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 32 MP camera for selfies. Connectivity features on the Vivo V17 include dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB Type-C port for charging.

Vivo V17 launched in Russia ran on Funtouch OS 9.2 based on Android 9 Pie.
This smartphone was launched in India earlier this September at Rs 29,990. The highlight of Vivo V17 Pro is its six rear cameras and also its pop-up selfie camera.
