Disha Ravi Arrest, Warrants Issued against Activist Nikita Jacob, Activist Shantanu in Toolkit Case

Disha Ravi, a 21-year-old has been arrested by the police, and the Delhi court has issued non-bailable warrants against two more activists Nikita Jacob and Shantanu in the connection with Delhi Police investigation for the Greta Thunberg “toolkit” case. According to the sources, a non-bailable warrant has issued against Nikita Jacob who is a lawyer and an activist, by Delhi Court on Monday Morning.

The Court has issued the warrant after requesting by the Delhi Police, who claimed that the lawyer and an activist is escaped. Disha Ravi was remanded by the Delhi Police special cell for five days and she was arrested on Saturday for involving herself in sharing the toolkit which is related to the farmer’s ongoing protest on social media.

The Delhi Police Special Cell sources said that a special team sent to search for Nikita Jacob’s house on February 11. The team arrived at the exact location of her house around evening. The lawyer-activist signed a document saying that she will help and join the investigation of this case but she went underground when the special cell’s visit her house in the evening, Delhi Police said.

The activist, Nikita Jacob went to Bombay High Court for temporary protection against the police’s further action on February 12. The hearing will come up on February 16, Tuesday. Police also claimed that they both have direct contact with Khailstani groups and working closely with the creators of the documents. Many politicians and supports have come out to support a 21-year-old, Disha Ravi.

It was claimed by the Delhi Police that an activist Disha Ravi was an editor of the “toolkit Google Document” and a “Key Conspirator” in the doc dissemination and formulation. In a tweet, Delhi Police said,” She was the one who shared the toolkit doc with Greta Thunberg”.
