Watch ‘Aligarh’‬ Movie World Television Premiere on & Pictures 11th September 2016

India’s premium mass Hindi movie channel ‘& Pictures’, is all set to bring another blockbuster of the silver screens on the small screens and time for the World Television Premiere of ‘Aligarh’ on Sunday, 11th September at 8:30 PM.

The plot of the movie Aligarh revolves around a Professor played by Manoj Bajpayee who had to face the struggle and opposition by the society because of their ignorance. Directed by Hansal Mehta and starring actors par excellence in the leads – Manoj Bajpai and Rajkummar Rao.

This is a story that raises the hopes to create a fair and equitable society where the laid down ‘morals’ do not take preference over one’s own fundamental rights. Director Hansal Mehta, “Manoj Bajpai was his first and only choice to play the character of Dr. Siras as the character demanded a certain vulnerability.”

Manoj Bajpai’s commendable performance also won the prestigious  title award of ‘The Dada Saheb Phalke Award (Critics) for this much-hyped movie. This critically lauded biopic pulls our heartstrings and leads us on a glorious mission of implicit words and lively sensations.

this is a story based on true events and Backdrops are set in Uttar Pradesh. The story of the movie Aligarh is about Professor Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras (Manoj Bajpai) who taught Marathi at the Aligarh Muslim University. A sting operation managed by a TV journalist at his residence on the university campus traps him in an embracing situation with a rickshaw puller.

The story takes a turn to the limelight the violation of one’s privacy and how our community chooses to let offensive acts go unpunished but make one’s choice out of love for a sin. Will Professor Siras be given the right to choose who he desires to love or will community away intrude into his personal life?
