World BioFuel Day 2018: Initiative to reduce Pollution and Promote Non-Fossil Fuels, 10th August 2018

The whole world is celebrating the World BioFule today along with India and PM Modi took a step and shared his thoughts about the roadmap towards the upcoming plans to promote the biofuel. Also, he didn’t miss a chance and questioned the previous government work towards this main issue. He shared everything in the speech at the inaugural session of the World Biofuel Day programme where he was invited as a Chief Guest for the session.

Some of you may know that the World Biofuel Day is being observed by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas for the last three years. Also, the world is observing it to create awareness about the importance of non-fossil fuels as an alternative to conventional fossil fuels. You all can say that this is a great initiative by the Indian government as they are trying their hard to make an impact.

You all should know that the reports are suggesting that ethanol blending in petrol has increased from 38 crore liters in the ethanol supply year 2013-2014 to an estimated 141 crore liters in the ethanol supply year 2017-2018 which end up saving 4,000 CR for India. Also, the PM said, “India expects to save up to Rs 12,000 crore in foreign exchange over the next four years by blending ethanol with petrol.”

Also, the reports are claiming that, PM Said, “12 biofuel refineries at an investment of Rs 10,000 crore have been planned in the country. The government will achieve 10 percent ethanol blending in petrol by 2022 and is targeting to double it to 20 percent by 2030.” Also, he added that one refinery will generate employment for 1,000-1,500 people which is great news for the nation. You all can say that this whole thing is going to work fine for India and for the world for sure.
